First Steps
Andy took his first steps without holding on to anyone or anything. He did it only a few times before deciding he wanted to go back to crawling. I am sure he will be back up on two feet again tomorrow.

Elliana and Chris went on their first date this weekend. Elliana talked all week about how she was going to get hot chocolate and go to the bookstore on her date. She was very excited to go out with just Dad and no Andy or Mom. They had a great time drinking hot chocolate and did buy a book.
Elliana also has been wearing no diapers! She has done a great job of telling me when she has to go and only had two accidents the first week. This week will be a big challenge for her since she will be under the care of others during MOPS and bible study. She is yet to tell someone other than me that she needs to go...so one accident this morning at church.
Andy is moving right along. He stands for a couple of seconds on his own and prefers to walk along the couch than crawl. He loves bath time and wishes it could last for hours. He went swimming this week too, but did not find it as fun as the bath.
Chris was playing tractors with Andy by making tractor sounds. Later, I found Andy making the tractor sounds when he was playing by himself. He also makes a car sound when he picks up toy cars. He threw part of Elliana's butterfly costume out of the way to get to one of his cars. Andy will also start to bounce when he hears music and will hum along when someone is singing.
We put up a gate at the bottom of the stairs since he started to climb them every second he gets. We thought it might make him mad. He actually thought it was funny and stands there shaking the gate laughing with his head back.
