Baby Time

Andy is starting his attachment phase these days. He cries when he knows that I am leaving him. He still loves Elliana and loves to watch her climb stairs, or read a book, or pray with him. Yes, Elliana will take his hands and say "uh, uh, uh, amen." and the let his hands go and tell Andy he prayed. Andy has tried many new foods, but fruit (pears and prunes) are his favorite. He eats pureed food three times a day and nurse 5-6 times a day. He sleeps 8pm to 6 am or so. Although this morning he slept until 8!

Elliana is going potty on the potty on a regular basis. I am not ready to let her go all day without a diaper, but she does pretty good. She is learning to use it as an excuse to stay up later too. Elliana loves Andy very much too. Well, really I think she likes the idea of being a baby herself. She asks to sit in Andy seat and lay in his crib. She will even babble. When asked if she is a big girl or baby she says baby, except when is a treat is invovled. She knows babies do not get good treats.

For those of you who have asked for Christmas ideas here are a few:
wooden puzzles, books, BOZ items. craft activities, swimming lessons at the YMCA, Cricket magazine subscription (Babybug)

The computer is working, sort of. It may quite at any time, but I will do my best to keep the website up to date with pictures.

Andy has two bottom teeth! Elliana is using the potty several times a day! Natalie is still hoping to sleep through the night! Chris is happy to have us home!

Broken

I am very sorry to say that our computer monitor is broken and I am not sure when it will be fixed. We cannot get to any of the picture until then:( Hopefully Chris will be able to work on it this weekend. I tried to update but I could not remember my password for the entire week, I final got it!

On another note, Andy had his 8 month check up. He is 80% for everything- 21.6 pounds and 28 inches long. He also has his first ear infection. I had no idea!

Andy also got his first tooth yesterday. It is barely there, but it is there.

Elliana also has a cold, but no ear infection.

Sleep

Andy is inching his way to whatever his little eyes see. He really likes whatever Elliana has most. He can get up on his knees and rock, but not quite crawl yet. He gives great hugs and smiles still. He sleeping is not really regular...he will go 10 hours some nights and only 6/7 hours on others.

Elliana on the other hand is regular in NOT sleeping. I say that, but last night she did not wake up once. (She has been waking up and coming out of her room about 4 to 6 times at night for the last 3 weeks.) She is learning more and more. She loves to take care of her baby dolls and change anyones diaper. Elliana request to watch BOZ first thing in the morning, and at 5:00am Chris will gladly help her out.

She is also asserting her independance...Yeterday at the store she decided it was time to go play and away she went. She did not bother to ask or let me know in any way. I am sure I looked like a crazy mother, carrying a fat Andy, running up and down the aisles when a working asked if I was looking for a little girl. Elliana had made a b-line for the car carts in the front of the store and was happily playing. I am not sure that she will not do it again, but at dinner she did tell Dad that she was not a good listener and she did not obey about cars.
