9 Months
Well, needless to say we had a great time in Hawaii. We hope you have enjoyed the pictures this week. I am working on my first scrapbook, it will be ready for view in 2009, I am guessing. Elliana had a blast and took everything in with her big beautiful blue eyes.
She can stand playing for long periods of time, scoot backwards while trying to crawl forwards, and starting to walk holding only one hand. Cousin Joe showed her how to move, but she only learned how to reach far enough to make her fall. As of yesterday she weighs 18.4 pounds. I have not measured her length in some time, but she is sleeping now and does not enjoy when I wake her.
Her favorite summer time activity is swimming. She loves to play in the pool much longer than I enjoy staying in the pool. Elliana has tried a few new foods recently- broccoli, squash, non-pureed beans, cottage cheese, and pineapple (she had a little in Hawaii too). She will eat broccoli and squash, but she still prefers sweet potatoes and any fruit.
Everyone who meets Elliana will comment on her hair and her eyes. She will give you a good stare down with her bright blue eyes and then, if you are lucky, a big grin. She has a top tooth that I think I saw starting to make its way through, but I have been know to see things.
