Walls Family

Elliana's first Christmas was a smashing success. The standards are that we made it back home in one piece. Upon arriving in Michigan, Elliana made a couple of trips to the Urgent Care to be told she had middle ear infection, sinus infection, and bronchiolitis. Now, after two weeks, all that is left is a small cough. In her wake, she left everyone she came in contact with a very nasty cold!

One the up side, she looked great in all her Christmas outfits and had a wonderful time being cuddled and played with every chance she got. We hope you all had a super Christmas.

This past weekend we took the 6 hour trip to Chicago. The time went so fast. We went shopping and walked around for a couple of hours. Elliana stayed back at the apartment with Grandma M. Aunt Ursula came in on Saturday evening and made Elliana laugh out loud for the first time. On Sunday we were able to catch up with some friends from Michigan State that we had not seen in a long time. Elliana did pretty good on the way home too. She has a bad cold that makes it difficult to breath, but she is a trooper!

Elliana enjoys a nice short book each day. Today she tried to hold the book and grab each page. She has also started to reach for toys and other things. It does not happen every time, but only if the object peaks an interest.

On a side note, Elliana now has got a bold spot from sleeping too much. She usually goes 11 to 12 hours at night and then her 3 - 4 naps during the day. Needlessly to say, she bold spot is getting bigger, not smaller.
