10 Weeks

Elliana had her two month check up this morning. She is weighing in at 12 pounds and 23 ¼ inches, both 75 percentile. Her head is slightly smaller, 15 inches and 35 percentile. Elliana is smiling, cooing, and pushing herself up. She needs to work on following objects, but I am sure that will be doing that later today. She also got her first set of 4 shots. She did a great job, but it wore her out. She needed a good 3 hour nap to recover.

This weekend, we had Elliana baby dedication. We had a small group of family come down. Chris shared our spiritual goals and verse. -That as she grows, she would choose daily to live for eternal purposes and be able to make the hard choices between what is better and what is best. So that, the people she comes in contact with would know that heaven, not earth, is her home.
Matthew 22:37-40
You shall love the Lord your God with all you heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and foremost commandment. The second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depends the whole Law and the Prophets.
Then the Pastor and Chris prayed. Elliana looked beautiful!

8 Weeks

Elliana is 8 weeks old today. She continues to grow and learn. She smiles at her toys and loves to play with Chris. Her favorite time of any day is to get her diaper changed. It makes her smile the biggest.

Elliana is much better in the car now. I can run to two stores during one trip without having her cry. I think she thinks she is supposed to sleep in her car seat. Although she still prefers her bed to another other place for a good long nap. Speaking of sleeping, Elliana can sleep 8-8.5 hours during the night. But last night she opted for only 6 hours.

Chris gave Elliana a bottle this past weekend, which was fun for him. I am glad to know that she can, but I don’t know how often she will get one. Well, that is the update on Elliana, Chris and I do not really have anything new going on beside her.
